Indigenous rights is a particularly important issue in Latin America. While in the United States only 1.7% of the population is indigenous, and in Canada only 4.3% and in Australia only 3%, in Latin America 12.7% of people are indigenous. Such a large community must have their rights properly protected.

Beretta Godoy invited Latin American experts from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and from Canada to share their experiences and offer an insight into the present situation in each jurisdiction.
